The latest in skinboosters: revolutionising your skincare routine
What are skinboosters?
Skinboosters are injectable treatments that deliver hyaluronic acid (HA) directly into the dermis — the deeper layer of skin where topical products cannot reach. Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume and structure, skinboosters improve the intrinsic quality of the skin itself: its hydration, elasticity, texture, and radiance.
Why topical hydration isn't enough
The skin's outermost layer (the stratum corneum) is designed to be a barrier. While a good moisturiser can support the skin surface, its active ingredients cannot penetrate to the dermis where lasting hydration and elasticity improvements happen. Skinboosters bypass this barrier entirely, delivering HA precisely where it does the most good.
The science of hyaluronic acid in skin
HA is a naturally occurring molecule that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Young skin is rich in HA — it's what gives children's skin that plump, dewy quality. From our mid-20s onwards, HA levels decline steadily. Skinbooster injections replenish this directly in the dermis, restoring hydration that supports collagen synthesis and overall skin quality.
What the treatment involves
Skinboosters are administered via a series of fine microinjections across the face (and optionally the neck, décolletage, and hands). A topical numbing cream is applied first to maximise comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure. The procedure takes around 30–45 minutes, and results are visible within days as the skin rehydrates.
- Improved skin luminosity and glow within 1–2 weeks
- Progressive improvement in texture and elasticity over 4–6 weeks
- Results last approximately 6–9 months
- Most patients do 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart initially, then maintenance every 6 months
Who is it for?
Skinboosters are suitable for virtually all skin types and tones, and all ages from the mid-20s onwards. They are particularly beneficial for dry or dehydrated skin, skin showing early signs of ageing, and patients who want to improve overall skin quality as part of a comprehensive aesthetic plan.
