Skinboosters · Singapore

Hydration that glows — from within.

Hyaluronic acid microinjections that transform skin hydration, texture, and luminosity at a depth topical skincare can never reach. One of Dr Mavis Pak's most popular treatments.

What are skinboosters?

Deeper hydration than any moisturiser

Skinboosters deliver hyaluronic acid directly into the dermis — far beyond what any topical product can reach. Unlike dermal fillers which add volume, skinboosters improve the intrinsic quality of the skin itself: hydration, elasticity, radiance, and moisture retention.

Hyaluronic acid holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. As we age, HA levels in the skin decline, leading to dullness, fine lines, and loss of bounce. Skinbooster injections replenish this directly at the source, producing results that improve progressively over several weeks.

  • Deep skin hydration lasting months — not hours
  • Improved skin elasticity and bounce
  • Reduced fine lines caused by chronic dryness
  • Glowing, luminous complexion visible within days
  • Suitable for face, neck, decolletage, and hands
  • All skin types and tones

FAQs

Skinbooster questions answered

What is the difference between skinboosters and dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers add volume and structure to specific areas — cheeks, chin, lips. Skinboosters deliver dilute HA across a broader area to improve skin quality — hydration, elasticity, and radiance — rather than adding volume. They address different aspects of skin ageing and are often used together as complementary treatments.
Why can't I get the same results from a good moisturiser?
The skin's outer layer is designed as a barrier. Even the best topical HA products cannot penetrate to the dermis where lasting hydration improvements occur. Skinbooster injections bypass this barrier entirely, delivering HA precisely where it produces the most benefit — results that no topical product can replicate.
Is the treatment painful?
Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. The injections are delivered through a fine needle across the face and take approximately 30–45 minutes. Most patients describe mild pressure rather than significant pain.
How soon will I see results?
Many patients notice improved skin luminosity and hydration within 3–5 days as the HA rehydrates the dermis. Progressive improvement in texture and elasticity continues over 4–6 weeks.
How often do I need treatments?
The recommended initial course is 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. After that, most patients maintain results with a single session every 6–9 months. Results are cumulative — the skin improves progressively with each treatment.
Can skinboosters be combined with other treatments?
Yes — skinboosters combine well with almost all aesthetic treatments. They are frequently combined with fillers, laser treatments (after skin has healed), and RF microneedling. Dr Mavis Pak will advise on the best sequencing for your treatment plan.
Are skinboosters suitable for young skin?
Yes — beneficial from the mid-20s onwards. Many younger patients use them preventatively to maintain skin quality and hydration, particularly those whose skin is prone to dryness or who spend significant time in air-conditioned environments.
